Kinsella, Eileen. “Indianapolis's Biggest Art Museum Is Replacing Its Contemporary Galleries With an Immersive Van Gogh-Themed Light Show.” artnet News, November 2, 2020. https://news.artnet.com/art-world/ima-newfields-van-gogh-1919299?utm_content=bufferb5eb0&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=news&fbclid=IwAR1ShpwMKkuEjnOFNkeQ7-cra9CgyQz0CZjVUODPucj-rw2D6R5-mtnE-BM

Eileen Kinsella is the author of this article. She is the Senior Market Editor at Artnet. Her educational background is a Bachelor of Arts in English from Marist College. Kinsella has also been a writer for other journals such as Wall Street Journal and Artnews magazine. In this article, her writing style is analytical. She is describing an art exhibit and discussing that the museum is potentially using an idea from a new Netflix series called Emily in Paris. "The initiative is billed as “the largest exhibition experience in Newfields’s 137-year history” and promises to “transform two-dimensional paintings into a three-dimensional world that guests can explore through all their senses.” It is set to debut next summer." (Kinsella 1). The sources of images and information are from the museum itself, IMA Newsfields, for the most part. She got direct quotes from Indianapolis Museum of Art's director and CEO Charles Venable. I think that this article is reliable because it gives evidence from both sources. For example it shows a photo of the scene in Emily in Paris and then it shows photos of the museums' ads for this new exhibit. It also goes more in depth about the exhibits than it does about potentially using the movies idea.

  1. I really enjoyed the fact that you provided background information on the artist and what they bring to the table. Is there anything in her analytical art work that is specific to her. The sources of information that were presented were also very well thought out and provided great information!
